Notice of Discontinuation of "Account Transfer Discount

Thank you for using our services.
We have decided to discontinue the "account transfer discount (55 yen/month including tax)" for some customers who use account transfer, effective from the November 2026 usage.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and ask for your understanding.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Why are you discontinuing the "account transfer discount"?

This is mainly due to the following two reasons

1. to provide fair services to customers
In recent years, customers have been diversifying their payment methods, including credit card payment. In order to provide services to all customers on fair terms and conditions so that no one is at a disadvantage or advantage depending on their payment method, we have decided to discontinue the account transfer discount as part of a review of the discount system as a whole.

2. as a painful decision to maintain service
Even as regional electric power companies have been discontinuing the discount, we have been striving to maintain the discount program in order to reduce the burden on our customers as much as possible. However, due to the recent sharp rise in energy procurement costs and various operating expenses, we have come to this decision with great reluctance.

Q2: Is there any problem with discontinuing the discount without prior approval?

In accordance with Article 2 of the "Terms and Conditions for Bulk Power Supply Service," the rates and other terms and conditions are subject to change with sufficient notice in advance.
This time, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, the new rules will be effective from the November 2026 fiscal year, after written notification in November-December 2025.

Q3: Do I need to follow any procedures?

There are no procedures for customers to follow. Please be assured that your current payment by direct debit will continue as before.

Q4. How will the actual billing amount change?

The discount of 55 yen per month (including tax) that has been applied up to now will be removed from the usage in November 2026 (debit in December 2026).
Please confirm the detailed billing amount in the monthly "Electricity Consumption Notice (Meter Reading Slip)".

Q5. Can I change to another payment method?

It is also possible to change to payment by credit card, etc.
The procedure can be easily completed through the customer website "Ricola". If you change your payment to credit card, no fee will be charged.
