(headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Atsuhiko Oida, President & CEO; hereinafter "Mitsubishi Jisho Community" or the "Company"), a condominium management company in the Mitsubishi Estate Group, for the purpose of improving the resilience of condominiums and contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society. The basic agreement was concluded with the aim of improving the resilience of condominiums and helping to realize a decarbonized society. The two companies will jointly develop a new service (hereafter, the "Service") that combines the Company's "Condominium Disaster Prevention Service" and Mitsubishi Jisho Community's "SONAE LiNK" disaster prevention concept to provide a mechanism that enables the decarbonization of the entire electricity supply to a single condominium building while building a condominium that is resilient to disasters in terms of both hardware and software. The new service (hereinafter "the Service") will be jointly developed to build disaster-resistant condominiums in terms of both hardware and software. This will also be the first attempt for MHI to form a business alliance with another company in the area of "condominium disaster prevention services.

In this collaboration, we will develop a new service that combines our "Condominium Disaster Prevention Service" and Mitsubishi Jisho Community's "SONAE LiNK".
The "Condominium Disaster Prevention Service" is a service that allows condominiums to install photovoltaic power generation systems and storage batteries without initial investment in our "bulk power receiving service for condominiums" to maintain emergency power supply in the event of a disaster, and to decarbonize by utilizing renewable energy even under normal circumstances. This service focuses on the hardware aspects, from equipment installation to security and operation management.
On the other hand, "SONAE LiNK" is a disaster prevention concept for condominiums that provides support for self-help and mutual assistance to help condominium residents overcome disasters through disaster drills, preparation of disaster prevention manuals, and other software support. In this initiative, we will create and provide a supplemental version of a disaster prevention manual that takes into account newly installed equipment.
By leveraging the strengths of both parties, this service can realize disaster prevention and environmental measures tailored to the characteristics of each condominium in terms of both hardware and software.

◾️Background and purpose of the business alliance
In light of the recent increase in the number of natural disasters in Japan and the risk of severe disasters, condominiums need to take disaster prevention measures not only for individual households but also for the building as a whole. At the same time, however, the cost and operational resources required to install each piece of equipment, as well as the need for approval from condominium residents, are hurdles that have prevented progress in implementing such measures. In addition, the growing environmental awareness caused by climate change has prompted companies and consumers to take urgent action to realize a decarbonized society.
In order to solve these issues, we have been promoting the introduction of our "Condominium Disaster Prevention Service" and Mitsubishi Jisho Community has been providing "SONAE LiNK". Through this business alliance, we aim to create further added value by combining the strengths and features of each service. The alliance is expected to create even more value-added services.
This project will embody the "Continuing to resist social challenges as a point of unity" set forth in Purpose, and at the same time, Mitsubishi Jisho Community believes that it will add value to the condominiums and contribute to the "Resilience" (disaster prevention measures) and "Environment" (global environmental conservation and decarbonization measures) in the "SDGs Declaration" set forth by Mitsubishi Jisho Community. We believe that the project will also contribute to "Resilience" (disaster prevention measures) and "Environment" (environmental conservation and decarbonization measures) in the SDG Declaration.
◾️Future Prospects
First, we plan to roll out this service mainly to condominiums managed by Mitsubishi Jisho Community that have our "condominium bulk power receiving service" installed.
Furthermore, using this initiative as a best practice, we aim to expand the introduction of the "condominium disaster prevention service" to properties that do not have the "condominium bulk power receiving service" in place.
We will continue to strive to achieve our mission of "making decarbonization less of an intractable problem" by enabling our clients and users to live in a world where they do not have to be conscious of the fact that they are using a service that contributes to decarbonization.
