News Release
(headquartered in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; Yutaka Kemmochi, President; hereinafter "Kanto Mazda") has begun supplying power from 100%, a substantially renewable energy source (hereinafter "renewable energy"), to all sites receiving power at high voltage.
By supplying electricity using tracked non-fossil certificates that meet the requirements of RE100, CO2 emissions (Scope 2 area) associated with electricity use at Kanto Mazda's high-voltage bases will be virtually zero, contributing to a reduction of approximately 371 TP3T (*1) of the overall CO2 emissions.

About our electricity retailing service for corporate customers
Based on the knowledge of electric power procurement cultivated through our "condominium bulk power supply service" launched in 2004, we have been developing electric power retail services for corporate customers since 2016.
As of the end of June 2025, the company supplies electricity to approximately 7,200 businesses and municipalities nationwide, supporting the sustainable development of corporate activities as an electricity service that enables both reduction of electricity costs and decarbonization under the mission of "making decarbonization not an intractable problem".
■ Background of Supply Commencement
Kanto Mazda has continued to implement various CSR-based initiatives such as environmental management, social contribution activities, and health management, etc. In 2009, Kanto Mazda became a member of Eco Action 21, an environmental management system established by the Ministry of the Environment, and has been reducing its environmental impact through power saving and upgrading air conditioning systems.
On the other hand, the cost of electricity derived from renewable energy is generally high, and in Kanto Mazda, the challenge has been to balance decarbonization and economic efficiency.
The company decided to introduce the system because of its ability to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions and lower power costs without initial investment by supplying power that meets the requirements of RE100.
■ Impact and Future Prospects for Decarbonization
Kanto Mazda operates in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, and Gunma prefectures, and is one of the Mazda Group's largest mega dealerships in Japan and one of the largest in the world.
This supply is expected to reduce CO2 emissions (Scope 2 area) associated with the use of electricity at all of Kanto Mazda's high-voltage bases by approximately 3,400 t-CO2 (*2).
This is equivalent to a reduction of approximately 371 TP3T CO2 emissions out of approximately 9,215t-CO2(*3) CO2 emissions from electricity use at Kanto Mazda, and will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions from electricity use in business activities.
Going forward, MHI will continue to provide a system of electricity supply that enables companies to promote decarbonization without relying on additional investment, aiming to realize a society in which people can contribute to decarbonization without thinking about it.

Yutaka Kemmochi, President and Representative Director, Kanto Mazda Motor Corporation Comments
We have been making a series of environmental efforts through Eco-Action 21, but we have been looking for a way to take our CO2 reduction efforts one step further.
The introduction of 100% renewable energy from Resil will enable us to reduce CO2 emissions without initial investment and to lower electricity costs, which is very significant for the promotion of our environmental management.
We will continue to make further efforts to achieve both decarbonization and sustainable corporate activities.
Daiki Koriyama, Executive Officer and General Manager, Green Energy Business Division, ■Regil Corporation Comment
We feel it is very significant that Kanto Mazda, one of the Mazda Group's largest dealerships in Japan, was able to achieve an actual renewable energy ratio of 1001 TP3T for all of its high-pressure sites.
We are entering an era in which responding to climate change requires collaboration across the entire supply chain, not just individual companies.
In this context, we feel that Mazda's efforts to reduce both Scope2 emissions and electricity costs at each of its bases without initial investment is an advanced step toward realizing sustainable corporate management and a significant suggestion for many other companies.
We look forward to continuing to work with Mazda as a decarbonization/energy partner, steadily promoting new initiatives such as the use of on-site PPA.
Going forward, Regil will continue to provide a system that enables companies to introduce renewable energy without difficulty, aiming to realize a society in which decarbonization is not a "special thing" but an "everyday choice".
