About ◾️CDP
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international non-profit organization that operates a global disclosure system to help companies, nations, regions, and cities manage their environmental impacts. It works with institutional investors around the world who are interested in environmental issues to evaluate and disclose the environmental performance of companies. Using a questionnaire that is fully aligned with the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), it collects information on a company's response to climate change, deforestation, and water security and assigns a score, which is an eight-point scale (A, A-, B, B-, C, C-, D, D-).

CDP's environmental database is the largest of its kind in the world, and its scores are widely used to inform investment and procurement decisions aimed at building a sustainable and resilient net-zero economy. A score of "B" in the CDP is the third from the top out of eight, and is given to companies that "recognize and act on their environmental risks and impacts" and "manage their risks and impacts on environmental issues and develop and implement strategies to address them. Obtaining a higher score leads to gaining the trust of stakeholders and improving the company's reputation.
