News Release
We are pleased to announce that our member organization, Japan Climate Leaders Partnership ("JCLP"), has newly designated August 8 as the "Day to End Too Hot Summer" anniversary.

JCLP has registered August 8, 2025 (Friday) as the "Day to End Too Hot Summer" every year with the Japan Anniversary Association and will take action starting from this anniversary with the Japan Local Character Association, the Japan Sustainable Fashion Alliance, Inc, Japan Sustainable Fashion Alliance, and NPO Weathercaster Network. (JCLP press release:https://japan-clp.jp/archives/18923)
In addition to endorsing the purpose of this anniversary, we would like to use this press release to introduce our efforts and achievements in the fight against climate change.
■New Anniversary, "The Day to End Too Hot Summer
As Japan continues to experience extremely hot days day after day, the effects of climate change are being felt in our daily lives in serious ways, including an increase in the number of heat stroke victims, the impact on labor and agriculture, and the increased burden on social infrastructure such as flood damage. Despite this, although the heat wave has been referred to as "heat," there has been limited coverage and discussion linking it to "climate change," and it has not led to momentum for climate change countermeasures.
In response to this challenge, JCLP has decided to create a "Day to End Too Hot Summer" during the hottest season of the year to create a social opportunity to rethink "heat" as a climate change issue. This day is intended to serve as a "starting point for a systemic shift in society as a whole," with a shared will to stop the climate crisis for future generations.
And what makes this anniversary unique is that it is a "To Eliminate" anniversary. We aim to eliminate this anniversary when we, the human race, act with a strong desire to stop climate change, and when we are able to stop global warming.
■ Our Climate Change Initiatives and Results
With the mission of "Making decarbonization not an intractable problem" in line with our per-purpose of "Continuing to resist social challenges as a cohesive point", we are working to promote decarbonization in order to solve the social challenge of climate change. By collaborating with various stakeholders and serving as a point of unity, we are providing "convenient, safe, and affordable" services to our customers while promoting decarbonization in our operations, and as a result, we have achieved the following results in the past year.
